Keste Pizza and Vino (Gluten Free Night)

I can’t stop thinking about what an incredibly fun a delicious experience I had at Keste Pizza & Vino’s Gluten Free Night.   I attended with a friend who also lives a gluten free life, and we both agreed, this place in fantastic.

A little bit about Keste

The mastermind behind Keste is Chef Roberto Caporuscio.  Chef Caporuscio kicked the event off with a great speech, that truly shows how much he cares about the Celiac and gluten free community.  During the event, I had the opportunity to meet Chef Caporuscio, and he truly is a special and talented man.  The restaurant has a separate gluten free section where all GF food is prepared to ensure there is absolutely no risk of cross-contamination.  I got the opportunity to view the gluten free section, and this place is legit!  Chef Caporuscio has been providing the community gluten free offerings for 14 years, with gluten free making up about 30% of Keste’s business.  In addition to offering amazing in-house gluten free options, Keste ships frozen gluten free pizzas.

What did we eat?

The menu for the evening was extensive and included:

The standouts

While everything was absolutely incredible, I did have a few favorites (full disclosure- I was not able to sample every item from this huge list of gluten free options). Before joining the gluten free world, I loved anything and everything fried. Once again being able to eat arancini, potato crockets, and fried burrata was truly a special experience. Not only were these items gluten free, but the quality was fantastic, and I doubt someone who lives a gluten-full life would notice the difference. I really enjoyed the Lasanga Vegetariana, which has an incredible pesto sauce. As for pizzas, how do I chose a favorite? They were all great, with the Montanara really standing out to me- most likely because it is something completely different, and a truly unique experience. As for desserts, the Angioltetti with Nutella were phenomenal!

Some final thoughts

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Keste, Chef Caporuscio, and the overall experience I had at gluten free night. This place is seriously special, and worth checking out whether you are gluten free or gluten full. I can’t wait to visit again, and once again experience delicious and safe food.
